Celtic Cross have a typical ring surrounding the intersecting shafts and are often ornately decorated with celtic symbols. It is certainly more primitive than its illustrious brothers in Monasterboice or Clonmacnoise. It has no characteristic circle and in the place where this cross stands there are two carved stones representing Roman Soldiers on guard. The reverse of the cross is one complete interlace.
